625pm Radar Update - Round 1 of discrete storms continues across many counties. Round 2 of storms is slowly moving toward the area from the west. We are currently monitoring the bowing segment along the line of storms moving thru southeast MS right now. The bow will move into Perry and Wayne Counties in MS around 645-7pm or so. Localized heavy rain and flash flooding could be possible this evening. 👉If you encounter flooded roads, do not try and drive through it even if it looks alright. It only takes 12 inches of flowing water to move a car. Turn around don’t drown! | US National Weather Service Mobile Alabama

05/26/25 Early evening radar update: Line of showers and storms advancing east into the western half of the forecast area. Some of the storms within the line could become strong to briefly severe this evening. Rains have been locally heavy and we cannot rule out an instance of nuisance type flooding in poor drainage areas. But with the steady eastward progression, residence time over any one area doesn’t appear long enough for flash flood warnings. Forecasters continue to monitor this evening. |
