When I first got my 16-bit computer, I felt it was far inferior in performance compared to console games (like the Famicom at the time) and arcade games. It was too slow for action games, so I just played them for the sake of playing.Then I came across The Secret of Monkey Island, which became my first point-and-click adventure game. At the time, I barely knew anything beyond the alphabet in English, but this game taught me verbs (commands) and even got me to start using an English dictionary. U
