Craig Ferguson talks about realizing that he was self-medicating with alcohol. At some point in many of our addictions, we used drugs or alcohol as a way to treat deeper problems. And for a time, it may have been very effective at doing that. The problem arises when it becomes less effective at being a solution and becomes the bigger source of our problems.
