A new generation in harbour towage. The Port of Antwerp-Bruges has taken delivery of six new, low emission Damen RSD Tugs 2513 – including a fully electric tug; Europe’s first. The vessels have been transported to Europe from our yard in Vietnam aboard a heavy lift vessel. As total maritime solutions provider, we have also delivered and commissioned the charging system for the electric tug and are providing the port’s crew with training to ensure the optimal performance of their new vessels. #Da

Tugs of the year? We certainly think so! Damen RSD-E Tugs 2513 Bu Tinah and Volta 1 have been shortlisted for the ITS Tug of the Year Award. The vessels, operated by Noatum Maritime and Port of Antwerp-Bruges, are the first fully electric tugs to operate in the Middle East and Europe, respectively.
