Please join us in welcoming Honey Bear to our rescue family! Honey Bear comes to us from a local shelter. She patiently waited for her family to come for her—but no one ever showed up. At about 4 years old, she’s a healthy 45 pounds, heartworm negative, and appears to be spayed—an unusual find in rescue! On May 6th, our rescue went to Hillsborough Animal Shelter to pick up Honey Bear and seven others. Honey Bear had a huge, infected wound on the side of her neck. She was scared, but her little tail still wagged, hoping someone would finally love her. Today, July 13th, Honey Bear is safe at our sanctuary, healing from her bilateral hip and knee surgery.
