After 62 years in business, Eastern Airlines, which was based in Miami and employed 6,700 workers in South Florida, shut its doors on Jan. 18, 1991. The airline, which used the slogan, “The Wings of Man” had 18,000 employees nationwide and made roughly 800 flights daily. PIX11 turns 74 on Wednesday, and we’re getting a little bit nostalgic! 🎂 Here are some promos from the ‘90s — when PIX11 was a part of the WB Network and went by 'WB11.' The first two spots promote two of the shows that premiered in the first year of the WB Network, “The Parenthood,” starring Robert Townsend, and “The Wayans Bros.” with Shawn and Marlon Wayans.
